Both the Heard Museum and the Desert Botanical Garden are offering a variety of special programming in conjunction with the exhibition Allan Houser: Tradition to Abstraction. At the Heard Museum Panel Discussion: At 6 p.m. on Friday, January 16, plan to attend a special panel discussion entitled "Changing Direction: A Conversation on Transitions + Influences" about contemporary American Indian sculpture. The panel discussion is free and is moderated by Sara Cochran, curator of modern and contemporary art at the Phoenix Art Museum.
